Gualtallary, Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza. Altitude: 1350 meters above sea level
Gualtallary: Soils originated from the alluvial fan of the Las Tunas River, with contributions from the wind. Very heterogeneous, usually sandy with little or medium depth. It features medium-sized gravel, caliche, and abundant calcium carbonate deposits.
El Peral, Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza. Altitude: 1200 meters above sea level
El Peral: Alluvial soils of the distal zone of the fan of the Las Tunas River, with contribution from the Lomas del Peral. Heterogeneous, depth between 1.00 and 1.50 meters, with layers of small pebbles and occasional calcareous cover.
Vinification
Direct pressing. Fermentation with native yeasts. 50% of the wine is fermented and aged in untoasted 500-liter French oak barrels. The remaining 50% ferments and ages in concrete containers. No malolactic fermentation.
