This Saar Riesling reveals excellent harmony of minerality, fruity aromas of citrus and ripe apricots, as well as a lively acidity. It is made from slowly ripened grapes grown on the old vines (over 30 years old) that thrive on the steep slopes of Oberemmeler Rosenberg and Oberemmeler Karlsberg. The slopes exposed to the south and west respectively, with slate soils (Schiefer) serve as a playground for many wild creatures, such as the butterfly, present on our label.
