Soalheiro Granit reveals the more mineral side of the Alvarinho variety. It is an Alvarinho that comes from a specific selection of vineyards planted above 300 meters of altitude, revealing the minerality that relates the granitic soil of the terroir of Monção and Melgaço and the Alvarinho variety, enhanced with batonage and ageing on the fine lees. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a higher temperature than usual in white wines, showing an elegant and more mineral aroma with a dry and persistent finish.
The Alvarinho grapes used in Soalheiro Granit come from small vineyards planted in granite soil above 300 meters of altitude and located in the particular microclimate of the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, the northernmost region of Portugal.
