After several 4-hand projects in the Alentejo region, Dirk Niepoort literally got his “hands on the wine” and ventured alone to explore Portalegre in Alto Alentejo.
Sempar means unique, unique, incomparable and perfectly translates the wine profile in which Niepoort believes: uncomplicated wines that represent the maximum expression of the vineyard that gave rise to them
Vinification
Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The wine aged in amphorae, approximately 8 months on the fine lees’ at the end of fermentation
Tasting Notes
On the nose pure and fresh, combining tropical notes and orchard fruits on a citrus base. In the mouth it is elegant and with excellent acidity. It is an uncomplicated wine for every day.
