Malvasia + Arinto = Malvarinto
The exclusive Malvarinto de Janas wine was born at Quinta de San Michel. A blend created and developed by us that represents a unique combination of two grape varieties: Malvasia and Arinto.
Vinification
Grapes harvested manually, in buckets of 20kgs, and then transported to the winery. Destemming and crushing of the bunches, and then a direct pressing is carried out. Decanting for 36 hours. Part of the fermentation in barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks.
Aging
For 8 months in French oak barrels (20% new) and 24 months in bottle.
Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow color. On the nose it is impetuous. Striking citrus fruit such as lemon, orange peel and grapefruit. Spicy, with white pepper and cinnamon finishing with aromas of smoke and sea air. In the mouth it is voluptuous, marking its presence through acidity and texture. Flavors of green apple, lemon and grapefruit complemented with a spicy character bringing liveliness to the wine. Long finish.
