Vineyards
The vineyards, with an odd altitude (700 – 750 mts), bring together the characteristic grape varieties of this region and comprise three plots with their own characteristics: Alvandeira vineyards with clay soils; Souto vineyards are transitional granite and schist; and in the vineyards of Lameiras they are of Granite and Quartz. The organic production, its terroir impregnated with history, as well as the setting by the Douro, Côa and Águeda rivers, give a unique profile to the wines from this property
Tasting Notes
A wine full of character, which reveals from the first contact a fresh breath (grapefruit, lime, mint) well married with fine notes of smoke. In tasting it shows a lot of freshness, a lively acidity that harmonizes perfectly with the creamy and tasty side, which prolongs it in the mouth.
Vinification
Fresh grapes at their ideal point of ripeness, hand-picked into 20 kg boxes, are transported to the winery where they have been pressed into whole bunches in a pneumatic press. Fermentation in stainless steel and ageing in used French oak barrels, on fine lees, for 8 months.
