H.O Moscatel Galego Branco is born from the selection of two parcels of the Moscatel Galego Branco grape varieties. With a predominance of sun exposure East and shale and clay soils, the different plots are located at elevations ranging from 350 to 400 m of altitude, which requires a strict monitoring of the maturation of the different terroirs.
Tasting Notes
H.O Moscatel Galego White is a wine with a citrus-yellow color and medium intensity. In the aroma, it represents in a unique way the characteristics of the variety, with a predominance of the aromas of grape, lychees and white flowers and tropical fruits. In the mouth it is fresh and light, very fruity and persistent.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the grapes were transported in boxes of 18kg capacity so as not to harm the integrity of the bunch. Once in the winery, the boxes were unloaded on a sorting belt for the first sorting of the grapes. This was followed by destemming, berry picking and crushing, which were transported by gravity to a pneumatic press. After clarification of the must, alcoholic fermentation began in a stainless steel tank at low temperatures of around 12 ºC, in order to preserve all the varietal character of the variety. The alcoholic fermentation took place for approximately 20 days, where the different components aged for 6 months.
