The winemaking vocation of Famiglia Valduga was born in the heart of Vale dos Vinhedos, formerly known as Via Leopoldina, where more than a century ago the first steps of a history made of dedication and prosperity were established. Respecting the terroir and understanding that each grape variety expresses itself in a unique way are the roots that sustain this trajectory. The incessant search for the true identity of each plot of land, combined with a thorough study, always leads us to the best results. Aware that the soul of wine is intrinsically linked to the climate, the soil, the relief and the constant dance of the winds, the Terroir Line was born, designed to value the potential of each varietal, cultivated in the main wine regions of Rio Grande do Sul.
Vinification
After the final selection of the bunches and the destemming of the fresh grapes, a cold maceration was carried out for eight hours. This was followed by a discontinuous and delicate pressing, in a press with an inert atmosphere, and the clarification of the must. Alcoholic fermentation took place with selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeasts, at controlled temperatures between 14ºC and 16ºC. Subsequently, the wine underwent tartaric stabilization, filtration and bottling, preserving all the freshness and varietal elegance.
Tasting Notes
It has a straw-yellow color, clear and bright. In the aroma, it stands out for its finesse and delicacy, highlighting notes of fresh fruit, such as apple and pear, while the evolution in the glass reveals subtle nuances of tropical fruit, such as pineapple. In the mouth, it is full, with excellent freshness, balance and unctuosity, typical characteristics of great Chardonnays. The finish is persistent, with a aftertaste marked by pineapple notes.
