This 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay non-vintage Champagne possesses an inherent complexity on the palate due to the addition of at least 40% reserve wine to the blend. Our perpetual wine reserve, started in 1988, is inspired by the Solera Method and enriched with more than 20 years of different vintages.
Tasting Notes
The wine is clear, with a pale golden color with shades of green, typical of the Chardonnay variety. The foam is thin and regular, with a nice bead of bubbles.
On the nose it is simultaneously floral and fruity, followed by notes of almond and fresh bread, ending with touches of citrus and green apple, leaving a graceful impression of softness and freshness.
In the mouth it simultaneously associates finesse and softness, and is dominated by white flower fruits (lemon and pear) and floral notes (acacia). The average palate is nervous and tense. The finish is persistent, with pure citrus flavors and a touch of saltiness, which confirms the fact that most of the fruit comes from the large village of Le Mesnil sur Oger, balanced with the equally prestigious Grand Cru villages of Oger, Cramant and Avize.
