In 1963, Engineer Alberto "Tito" Zuccardi, obstinate in his constant fight against the desert in Mendoza, began planting the family's first vineyard in order to demonstrate his innovative and efficient irrigation system. This vineyard led him to discover his passion for viticulture and paved the way for successive generations of the family. Zuccardi has become a key figure in the history and future of viticulture in Argentina.
Most wines are fermented and aged only in cement. The winemaking team uses large toasted oak barrels and foudres when the development of the wine will really intensify with oak ageing or when the grape variety needs more microoxygenation.
"I like it when you open a bottle of wine and you can travel to the place where the cultivation was done. Wine tells the story, our vision or our interpretation of the place of origin and also the year in which the wine was made." Sebastián Zuccardi
