Vineyards
Our Nero d’Avola grows 350 meters above sea level, in a fresh soil, with a fair amount of limestone and clay. This is how we get a lush Nero d’Avola vine, with juicy berries with violet undertones. Lake Arancio helps plants gain free access to nutrients and water, even during the dry season, and develop a fresh, fruity aroma with a well-balanced level of acidity.
Vinification
The grapes are lightly pressed to avoid green tannins. Maceration at controlled temperature for about 10-12 days. The wort is reconstituted every 4 hours. Stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red, intense with purplish highlights. Intense aroma with red fruits, balsamic and floral notes. Warm, long-lasting, with a woody flavor on the finish.
