Vinification
The grapes harvested by hand and transported in small 18kg boxes are sorted, destemmed and gently crushed. They are then fermented in stainless steel tanks, with temperature control where, with gentle pumping overs, all the elegance and aromatic complexity of the grape varieties selected for the blend are preserved.
Aging
The entire batch aged in new and 1st year French oak barrels for 14 months.
Tasting Notes
Heavy color, very intense, almost dark and bright. The nose is powerful and complex, combining good characteristics of the Douro Demarcated Region , such as cistus mints, black plum and sour cherry fruits, as well as jammed notes of blackberry and chocolate. In the mouth it is full, powerful, of abundant but fine and elegant tannins, giving a good indication of an excellent aging wine.
