Origin
Produced by grapes from a single plot of vineyard, one of the oldest in the municipality of Alfândega da Fé and Trás os Montes, conducted in organic production, this Grande Escolha DOC 2020 appears. The producer wanted to make a wine that would make us travel back in time and transport us to the origins of the wines of trás-os-montes. What was intended was to express the terroir as much as possible and that’s what we did. We brought together more than a dozen red and white grape varieties and the oenological intervention was minimal. Then came this ruby red wine, with a bouquet of aromas from Trás os Montes, balanced and perfect to accompany a cheese board and sausages, or a matured meat or just be the company of a good conversation.
Vinification
Manual harvest in 15kg boxes. Fermentation in a mill with controlled temperature, foot treading. Aging in stainless steel vat, 1 year in bottle before going out to the market.
