Vinification
Godello A Coroa Lías is a wine made with the most careful selection of Godello grapes from one of our most characteristic vineyards, A Sobreira. The plot, located at an altitude of 450 metres, stands out for its sandy loam soils with rolled pebbles and sediments from the entrainment of Quaternary watercourses. After fermentation, the musts rest for 5 months on their lees in suspension, through the application of the “bâtonnage” technique. Godello A Coroa Lías is a complex and round wine, which surprises from the moment it enters the mouth and lingers in the memory.
Tasting Notes
Godello A Coroa Lías 2022 has a greenish-yellow colour with a slight golden hue, reflecting the solar intensity achieved at the ripening of the harvest. It has excellent intensity, where notes of elderflower and broom appear, with a slight vegetal touch reminiscent of wild fennel (characteristic of the Godello variety). In the background, notes of ripe fruits such as peach and quince emerge. With a slight oxygenation, nuances of papaya and mango emerge, providing an excellent and elegant aromatic complexity. On the palate, the entrance is powerful, marking the character of a ripe white wine, but at the same time vibrant, with acidity that reminds us of grapefruit. The finish is persistent, with a slight saline touch and bitterness corresponding to the personality of the soils where the vines are planted.
