From vineyards located in Las Violetas (Canelones) and Melilla (Montevideo) with espalier training system, clayey soil with high calcareous content.
Vinification
Manual selection of grapes, grain by grain. Fermentation at 26°C in a steel tank. Maceration for 11 days with 2 pump-overs and a daily pigeage. Ageing for 16 months in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Intense purple red. Aromas of blackcurrant and blackberries, with notes of tobacco. Balanced acidity, good volume with round tannins. Extended ending. Decant and serve at 16°C.
