Created to be a sweeter and lighter Blended Scotch Whisky, this was the first whisky created by Stephanie Macleod. Most whiskies are only aged once, but at Dewar’s they do things a little differently. The chosen single malt whiskies and fine grain whiskies are aged separately in oak casks for a minimum of 15 years. The aged whisky is then blended, before aging again in oak barrels. This extra step is where the magic happens. Whisky “marries” to create an incredibly smooth whisky.
Tasting Notes
Thanks to the unique double-ageing process and golden water source, Dewar’s 15 Year Old is extraordinarily smooth, with flavour notes of honey, caramel and florals.
