Vinification
Pretexto red was fermented in stainless steel tanks with 30% whole bunch, followed by 30-day cuvaison. The Jaen, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz grape varieties were co-fermented, as well as Jaen and Touriga Nacional. The final batch aged in French oak vats (5000 L) and barrels for 11 months. Naturally stabilized.
Tasting Notes
Bright red open color. Very expressive in red fruits, with cherry predominating. The mouth accompanies the fruit combined with good acidity with a fresh and vegetal character. Tannins present, but soft and good length in the aftertaste. It is an elegant wine with the typical freshness of the Dão.
