Tasting Notes
Golden, with a delicious aroma of nuts and almonds that lingers in the mouth with a fresh and concentrated finish, due to the long ageing in small old oak barrels. Branco Seco is excellent when served chilled as an aperitif or as a cocktail with tonic water, ice and a slice or lemon peel.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine undergo a long maceration with the skins. It is vinified in lagares, occasionally with foot treading. Fermentation continues almost to dryness before the addition of brandy. It ages in small old oak barrels in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia for a minimum of 3 and a half years before bottling.
