Herdade da Mingorra’s red harvest is born from a selection of grapes from older plots, such as Trincadeira from 1978, and more recent, such as Touriga Nacional from 2009; planted in some of the areas with the greatest viticultural aptitude of the property. The grape varieties used, among the noblest in Alentejo and Portugal, are the result of decades of experience and study on how they behave in these soils and climate of southern Alentejo.
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel vats, without stems, with controlled fermentation temperature at 26°C; 6 months of aging in French oak wood.
Tasting Notes
Intense in color and aroma, with attractive notes of grass seса alongside ripe fruit, wild berries and black plum. The smoky wood envelops the fruit, the tannins are polished and smooth, the wine is juicy and long.
