Vinification
The harvest is done by hand and the grapes are transported to the winery in small boxes. After destemming, the grapes are crushed and sent to granite lagares for fermentation with foot treading. The maceration takes place in a delicate manner and at a controlled temperature to extract all the typicity of the native grape varieties.
Touriga Nacional ages for 12 months in new French oak barrels. Tinta Roriz and Alfrocheiro were always in stainless steel vats. Before bottling, a slight clarification is made (with products of vegetable origin) and then filtration in order to maintain all its aromatic potential and structure. The stabilization and most of the clarification is natural. Small sediments may appear during the aging in the bottle. It does not contain animal products.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits and hints of blackberries. Wine with a lot of body and structure that balances well with its natural acidity and mineral character. It is a wine with freshness and a long finish.
