Vineyards
With unique characteristics in its terroir, Vidigueira is synonymous with wine. With strong thermal amplitudes between day and night, the Serra do Mendro shelter promotes the maintenance of morning humidity in the vineyards. Mostly schist soils and typical grape varieties, deeply adapted to the region, translate into the glass, heritage of the Land of Wine. In old vineyards of Roupeiro, Antão Vaz and Arinto, the grapes that give rise to this wine are harvested by hand. The chosen ripening point looks for fresh fruit and crisp acidity .
Vinification
Low-intervention winemaking begins with foot treading. The start of spontaneous fermentation takes it to the press, only the liquid fraction is sent to small stainless steel tanks. With total aging in a stainless steel tank, the purity of the fruit and the natural texture of the wine, it is maintained without intervention. After decanting, we bottle an unstabilized wine, with slight filtration.
