Chatêau Doisy Daëne “Sec” 2018

In 1875, J.J.E. Daëne's three children inherited the cru. In the same year, they sold part of it to the Dubroca brothers and then, in 1878, they sold Doisy Daëne to Jean-Paul Billot. His only daughter, Pauline, wife of Jean Lodoïs Juhel-Renoy, a merchant in Paris, inherited it in 1884. She sold it to the Debans brothers in 1889. Georges Dubourdieu bought Doisy Daëne from the heirs of the Debans brothers in 1924. For more than eighty years, three generations of winegrowers passionate about the development of great white wines have succeeded each other from father to son: Georges, Pierre and Denis.

Georges, a perfectionist viticulturist and winemaker, acquired the crude and cemented its reputation with legendary vintages until 1949. Pierre, passionate, innovative and entrepreneurial, expanded Doisy Daëne, notably by buying part of Doisy-Dubroca. In the early 1950s, he created the Grand Vin Sec of Doisy Daëne. For fifty years, he signed splendid bottles. Denis has presided over the destinies of Doisy Daëne since 2000. He was also a Professor at the Faculty of Oenology of Bordeaux and a world-renowned consultant winemaker. Since 2004, Denis' sons, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques, have joined the family business.
